Being born and raised in Orange County, CA, I was heavily influenced by surfing, skating, and snowboarding. This impact on my life and style from streetwear brands in my youth has led to the creation of this company. Here at Rusty Iron, we look to continue on the tradition of creating designs that push the limits of creativity by combining many of our influences and hobbies. You will find a unique set of products that incorporate firefighting, action sports, golf, and many more influences woven into the artwork we create. Our goal is to not only give you a product that you are proud to wear, but to use profits from our sales to donate to various charities. MEANING BEHIND OUR NAME
RUSTY: affected by rust; impaired by lack of recent practice
IRON: a strong metal used for construction and manufacturing
At first glance, the name Rusty Iron could have a negative connotation. This was chosen as a reminder to uphold one of the longest standing traditions in the fire service: pride. Pride in yourself, pride in your skills, pride in your equipment, and pride in your department. The name serves as a reminder to constantly work on yourself and your skills on the job to uphold the legacy of pride with each person you come in contact with. My department has a motto used by our Training Cadre reads, “Iron Sharpens Iron.” As you wear our products and become part of the Rusty Iron Family, just remember “Iron Sharpens Iron, Don’t Get Rusty.”
